Tandem is pleased to announce its latest enhancement, Fast Sell, where you can enter nearly all sailing details and passenger information on a single page and complete a booking in less than two minutes.
Please note:Â These updates do not impact the consumer shopping and booking features, but will greatly enhance the agent’s experience and efficiency.
What is Fast Sell?
The Fast Sell feature is a way for agents to find and book a product when they already know specific details about that product. You must know sailing date, number of nights, cruise line, ship, departure airport, and number of passengers to be able to start a Fast Sell.

My recent stay at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora was everything I had imagined. We arrived at Bora Bora airport and were welcomed with a fresh lei greeting by the staff. After our bags got tagged, we were escorted on board the Four Seasons navigator catamaran. Check in was done in less than 10 minutes. Our Bungalow was 419 on East Pontoon with magnificent views of Mt Otemanu. The staff was at a ratio of 5 per guest and there was always one person asking you if you need anything and always greeting you with La Orana.Â

Here’s aerial view of the islands of Bora Bora, French Polynesia. Definitely one of Polynesia’s most beautiful lagoons. The barrier reef is entirely closed and is drawn in thousands of shapes.

The web is abuzz today with various articles discussing a recent Akamai/PhoCusWright study on travelers online shopping behavior. The most important finding shows that consumers are growing more and more impatient with technical glitches and loading times on travel websites.
According to tnooz, the study (of nearly 2,800 US travel buyers in the US) found that 57% will only wait three seconds before abandoning a site if it has failed to load properly. TravelPulse cites that Sixty-five percent of 18 to 24 year olds expect a site to load in two seconds or less. A third of travelers would be less likely to visit a site after experiencing technical problems like slowness or errors on the page.

Your home page is one of the most important pages on your website. It is the great entryway to your business, the identity of your brand, and the most compelling sales pitch to your customer. Or at least it should be.
Since the home page is valued so highly, it also tends to be the page that is most easily destroyed.   Many times the home page turns into a catch all for supplier brand logos, miscellaneous ad style banners, and random phrases hinting at something but never fully explained.Â
Do you ever find yourself saying “This button is important, but I don’t really have any place to put it… so I guess I’ll just put it on the home page.”? That is a slippery slope and one that leads to homepages that look like this:

Without a clean, concise homepage, your customer will be confused by what to do next and you may lose them before they even have time to discover what your business is all about. It’s time to stop hoarding on your home page and give it the make-over it deserves.

In our ongoing effort to respond to agent requests and needs, we have expanded and upgraded the search and results display pages in AgentPort. We have expanded the search filter, added a date/calendar feature and are presenting the search results in a much more “agent friendly” manner.
Here are a few of the changes to the quick search:
- Search by departure date. Enter the exact departure date you want to find, or use the calendar. You can also choose to find cruises that are departing up to 7 days before or after the departure date you choose.
- Search by departure port. Find cruises leaving form a specific departure port listed by country.
- Search for a specific cruise supplier. A drop down box listing your preferred cruise lines will display.
- Search by Cruise Ship. If you select a cruise line, the drop down will display that lines ships only. If you do not select a cruise line, all ship names will drop down.
